OVERVIEW
Ark7 is a fractional real estate investment platform. The project began with a Product Requirements Document (PRD) and culminated in three key features: AI Auto-Invest, Recommended Bundles, and a Chatbot. AIGC (AI-generated content) is integrated into these features to deliver enhanced investment insights, personalized advice, and a seamless user experience.

Main Iterations
The design has been refined through 4–5 rounds of iterations. We conducted usability testing with users across varying levels of investment knowledge.
Auto-Investing
Auto-Investing was the most challenging part of the entire project. We were building a brand-new feature from the ground up, with no existing patterns to follow. Our mission was clear: transform complex investment concepts into something users could easily understand, and design an experience that made the investing process feel simple and intuitive.

Takeaways
What I Learnt
The design process is rarely linear.
We often moved between phases. For example, our initial PRD changed after conducting desktop and competitor research, which reshaped our understanding of user needs. Later, user feedback during prototyping led us to revisit and refine earlier design decisions. These iterations were key to creating a more user-centered solution.
Think from business points of view.
This is essential in fintech design. Designers aren’t just shaping interfaces—we’re influencing how money flows, how users build trust, and how the company grows. In this project, it was crucial to consider how to effectively promote properties, and attract, engage, and retain users with varying levels of financial literacy.
Save Clicks
For B2C fintech products, ease of use is a top priority. Streamlined user flows enable faster, more efficient transactions and help drive product adoption and engagement.
what I could done better
Due to the tight project schedule, we didn't have time to collect more usability data. If conditions allow in the future, we would conduct additional testing to validate our design decisions and uncover further opportunities for improvement.
